Meet Amanda

Amanda Vos is a qualified Social Worker with 25 years of professional experience across direct practice, project management, program development, leadership, and academia.

She brings 19 years of supervision experience, grounded in a passionate commitment and genuine love of working with people whose practice promotes respect, dignity, social justice and human rights.

Amanda has been specialising in Professional Supervision since 2015. She has completed numerous trainings in supervision (as early as 2005); presented on diverse topics at international, national and local conferences; trained Supervisors; and supervises Supervisors.

Amanda opened her private practice as a Professional Supervisor in 2019 and supervises colleagues from a variety of professions and discipline backgrounds, including social work, human services, community work, and social sciences.

Amanda has experience supervising people working across a range of practice contexts and with diverse populations including, aged care/working with Elders, child protection, disability, early years (0-5), domestic & family violence, health (hospital and community), housing and homelessness, legal, LGBTQ+, neighbourhood and community centres, schools/education, policy, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Migrants, youth justice, and young people.

She supervises throughout Australia, and across the career span: new graduates, experienced practitioners, and senior leaders and executives.

Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Queensland in 2001; and is a Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (MAASW).

Amanda's Practice Framework is critically oriented, and she is LGBTQ+ and NeuroDivergent affirming. She is committed to the ongoing work of decolonising; is highly relational; and respectful of diverse ways of knowing, being and doing.

Amanda strives to work with people in ways that honour their uniqueness, nurture their authenticity, and cultivates their commitment and capabilities as ethical practitioners and leaders.

Amanda is a lifelong learner (and loves unlearning), and feels incredibly privileged to do this work. She takes her responsibility as a Professional Supervisor very seriously; and recognises and honours the trust and safety required for people to engage in Professional Supervision that is attentive to accountability, education, restoration, and transformation.
